Super Tall Valve Cover FINISH OPTIONS There are several options in choosing to finish your brand new Super-Tall valve covers. You can leave them natural or personalize them for a unique look as desired... Smooth Natural Finish:This is the original cast aluminum finish after being tumbled in ceramic media resulting in a smooth, marble like texture unlike other rough, gritty cast surfaces which cleans up much easier than other covers. This is the standard finish on all the S/T covers. Sanded Fins:This option creates a subtle yet defined contrast creating an "etched" appearance on the fins without creating too noticeable of an appearance.
Polished Fins:This option creates a prominent accent making the fins look like thay stand out from the cover to appear even deeper than they are. First the fin tops are micro sanded then polished to a high lustre to remove most of the scratches and natural porosity.
Zoop Sealed:to be applied to the entire natural finish or sanded or polished fins only. This process chemically seals the aluminum so clean up is easy with just soap and water, and no maintenance for polished surfaces is necessary.
Black Wrinkle Coat:the timeless nostalgic look of 60's, but with a smooth feel making clean up much quicker and easier. Hard-Coat power coated (not mere paint) for lasting, tough finish needing just soap and water for occasional cleanups.
Chrome Coat:An ultra shiny almost chrome-like powder coat finish that keeps the natural character of aluminum unlike polished and chromed results that end up looking more like stamped steel than cast aluminum. Painted Fins:Hand painted accents in the valley between the fins sets an elegant contrast similar to a negative alternative to krinkle black covers with machined fins.
