SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT!   Save up to 6-1/2 pounds over the older OEM shocks & springs  -  That s huge 20% weight savings!

Cobra Mk-III, Daytona Coupe and GT-40 produced by Superformance® and the Hi-Tech® made Shelby® CSX all take 12mm (.472") upper and lower shock mounting holes. Occasionally they are sometimes modified after they leave the factory to accept the more common 1/2" (.500") standard shocks and bolts. Please check and select which version you need before ordering.

Cobra Valley specifically designed and assembled this advanced tuned suspension system specifically for your Superformance® Mk-III, Daytona Coupe, GT-40 or Hi-Tech® made Shelby® CSX, and other similar type car suspensions. To guarantee a proper match, replace individual shocks ONLY with those supplied by Cobra Valley. This is very important optimum performance and handling!

We spent hundreds of hours of bench, road & track time to come up with this tried & proven system. These particular shocks are valved & sprung for this particular weight, front to back bias & wheel base car & not intended to be used on anything other than a Superformance® Mk-III, Coupe, GT-40 or Hi-Tech® made Shelby® CSX.  Both compression & rebound resistance is controlled & adjusted by an external control knob in 18 incremental settings and an infinite range in between each w/ a total of 72 settings. This suspension system provides a firm ride yet still a much smoother than most others systems while still providing tight & responsive handling. It's this specific combination that makes them handle heavier springs without the stiffer ride. You'll be impressed!

The spherical bearings on each end were designed to be direct replacements to fit the Superformance® Mk-III, Coupe, GT-40 or Hi-Tech® made Shelby® CSX 12mm shock bolts. If you wish to drill your mounts to 1/2" please specify that for the larger bearings. Be sure to lightly grease the carbon fiber bearing races and check them frequently for wear and condition.

Cobra Valley Exclusive! Complete with uniquely specific detailed instructions created only by us that virtually ANYONE to install!

The Mk-III, Daytona Coupe, GT-40 & CSX shock/ spring packages are very different from each other and not interchangeable. We put these custom packages together JUST for your car,  so please make sure we know which Superformance or CSX car model it is for! While this complete shock absorber and spring suspension system was originally designed for the Superformance Mk-III Cobra, Coupe & GT40 or CSX, it may fit other cars with similar suspension designs and front to rear weight bias's using coil over shocks. Please specify the car characteristics if your's isn't a Superformance Mk-III Cobra, Coupe or GT40 so we can fit your car with the absolute best suspension package possible!

Dual Adjustment model shown above: Control knobs adjusts both compression and Rebound independently for maximum, infinite control for precise tuning and track performance.

Single Adjustment model:
Control knob adjusts both compression and rebound uniformly at the same time for simplicity of use and ease of repeatability of favorite settings for various road and driving conditions.

Adjustment Note:With the new version shocks, the compression is smoother than the rebound (for ride quality) and the compression begins to increase exponentially at 6 clicks

Mk-III WEIGHT VARIATIONS
: The above recommendations have included the standard soft top, side screens, tonneau cover and tool case (approx. 50-60 pounds) to be carried in the trunk during normal operation including 2 adults in the cockpit. If you typically travel with extra cargo in the trunk above and beyond these standard items included, simply add 50 pounds of spring pressure required in the rear for every additional 100 pounds of extra cargo above and beyond what has been previously mentioned and compensated for in the chart.

Mk-III SPRING COMPARISON: 450 springs will be about the equivalent ride quality as a track prepped Mustang GT aftermarket sport type suspension with stiffer springs and shocks, and 17" low profile tires. The 350 springs will be about 2 steps firmer than stock . As a comparison, with 350's you can easily traverse a rough railroad crossing  as normal speed with minor jostling in the cockpit whereas 450's you may need to slow down and slowly cross over to prevent shaking of the dashboard and windshield. This is what "depending on your driving conditions" is all about.

TIRE FACTORS: The selection of your spring rate also depends on the adhesion of your tires. Using stiffer springs while wearing standard upgraded tires results in the tires still being the limiting factor and no real appreciable handling gains all while suffering some rough road handling compliance. If you are wearing very sticky tires then the suspension is not the limiting factor and the springs can be increased.

MOST POPULAR Mk-III PACKAGES: If you want to base your selection on what most other users are running on their cars, the most popular package with the upgraded 24mm front, 22mm rear) GTP/RT Sway Bars are using (#1) 350-F/350-R springs for improved handling on all types of unpredictable and irregular road conditions, followed closely by the (#2) 450-F/450-R springs for maximum handling on most acceptably smoother surfaces while not hampering ride significantly, and finally the (#3) 400-F/400-R springs for either lightweight cars for very good street/track handling ...or... for spirited street handling with extra luggage or weight in the car during long distance traveling. If using the later large (24-25mm) rear sway bar and smaller (20mm) stock front, the (#4) 450-F/400-R springs are the most popular package followed closely by the (#5) 400-F/350-R spring package. Early cars using the smaller 18mm stock rear sway bar and stock 20mm front bar, the (#6) 400-F/450-R springs are most desired to compensate for the lack of appreciable sway bars and the (#7) 450-F/500-R springs are second.
