DISASSEMBLY: Unbolt the top cover plate and remove all the internal contents. Carefully inspect the rotor(s), cover plate and housing for any defects, abnormal wear or any other irreparable damage. You ca also remove the relief valve cover, spring and valve assembly as well. Remember to take the old cap (which looks like a small freeze plug) to the parts store with you to size up an identical one. Clean everything crystal clean and you are ready to begin.

Note: The cover bolts are generally soft, small and easy to round off, so a shallow 6 point socket with a tight fit is well advised.
